DotA, Defence of the Old, has become tremendously popular within the last few years. Generally there are reports which boasts that the custom map for Warcraft 3 have over 20 million players worldwide. Yes, I said custom map because that is what DotA really is. The style “custom map” within the gaming world means that the map wasn’t manufactured by the programmers whom produced the game, Warcraft 3 in such a case. The map is instead made by a fan who enjoyed the game enough to create his own map and implement his own ideas. Dota 2 Heroes
A World of warcraft 3 map, any RTS(real-time strategy) map for example, is kind of like a digital gaming board. Fill up it with water, trees and shrubs, narrow passages, rippling estuaries and rivers etc. and you should have yourself your own custom map for any RTS. Souffle, the creator of World of warcraft 3, shipped the sport with a very powerful map editor, free for anyone to work with. A smart move from their side, it has made the lifetime endless. Today people usually play custom maps, the fan-made maps and DotA in particular, more than they can be participating in the maps that Souffle sent with the overall game.

The gameplay is very basic. Presently there are two teams, the Sentinel and the Scourge, five players in each. The team who kills the opposing teams Historic first wins, the Scourge’s ancient is called the Frozen Throne and the Sentinels ancient is called the Tree of Lifestyle. The relics are found in each one of the teams bases. Generally there are 3 ways leading to the bases, all the ways are filled with defensive towers and NPC’s(non player manipulated characters) guarding the best way to their teams foundation. Many ways are more commonly known as “lanes” in DotA. Each of the players can make one of around 100 different heroes at the starting of the sport. The game characters have different skills and attributes, some of them would be best at dealing destruction even though some others have the ability to heal hurt teammates.
The game is about making your team and your hero strong enough to get through the enemy base, and then destroy their relic. Your hero gets more robust by buying items for him/her or by getting levels. You gain level by acquiring experience items, which you get by being local when an enemy hero or NPC dies. You will be rewarded with gold when you kill an foe NPC, an enemy good guy or destroying one of their buildings. The platinum can be used to buy items for your hero or buy yourself back to normal if you have been wiped out.
